Choose a PDF and you get up to three smaller versions, each with its size. Low compression keeps the most detail, high compression gives the smallest file, and medium sits between. Download the one that suits you.

Which compression level should I pick?
Low compression keeps the most detail and is right for printing or reading closely. Medium is a good default for email. High gives the smallest file, for upload forms with a tight limit. Each version shows its size, so pick the largest one that fits your limit.
Can I compress a PDF to 100 KB, 200 KB, 500 KB or 1 MB?
Yes. Each version shows the common limit it fits under. If none fits, type your limit under the results and press Make it fit.
Will the text still be selectable?
Usually yes. For very small sizes some files can only be reduced by saving each page as a picture. When that happens the result is labelled, because text in it can no longer be selected or searched.
Why do I sometimes get fewer than three versions?
Some PDFs have little left to squeeze, so two levels come out almost the same size. Only versions that are really different are shown.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The file is compressed inside your browser tab and never sent to a server. There is no sign-up and no watermark.
