What to include
These details let us find the cause quickly:
- The tool you were using, or the page address.
- Your browser and device, for example Chrome on Windows or Safari on iPhone.
- What you did and what happened, including any message shown on the page.
- The kind of file: its type and rough size.
- A screenshot, if it shows the problem.
Common problems
A tool is stuck on "Loading" or does nothing
Reload the page first. If it still does not start, update your browser to the current version, turn off ad or script blockers for tinypdf.in, and try a private window. Most tools need WebAssembly, which every current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari supports.
My file is large and the tool is slow or the tab crashes
Tools that run in your browser use your device's memory. Close other tabs, try a computer instead of a phone, or split the file into smaller parts first. Very large PDFs and photos over 16 megapixels are the usual cause.
I pressed Download but cannot find the file
On a computer it is in your Downloads folder. On Android it is in Downloads and usually in your gallery. On iPhone it is in the Files app under Downloads; open it and use Share, then Save Image, to add a picture to Photos.
Is my file uploaded or stored?
Most tools read and process your file inside your browser tab, so it never leaves your device. Three tools are marked "Uses our server": AI Text Detector, PDF AI Text Checker and Watermark Remover. They send the file to our server, which processes it and discards it immediately. Nothing is kept, so there is nothing for us to delete afterwards.
No text was found in my PDF
The PDF is probably a scan, which is a picture of each page. Run it through OCR PDF first to turn the pictures into text, then use the other tool on the result.
The AI text tools refused my text or PDF
AI Text Detector accepts up to 2,000 words and PDF AI Text Checker accepts PDFs up to 8 MB. Shorten the text or split the PDF and try again.
A face was not found, or the wrong thing was blurred
In Blur Faces, press "Find smaller faces" for crowds, and use "Draw a box" for anything that was missed. Click any area to show it again. Faces in profile or partly covered are the hardest to detect.
A database playground does not start
The PostgreSQL, SQLite and DuckDB playgrounds download their database engine the first time you open them, so they need an internet connection and can take a few seconds. Reload the page if the download was interrupted. Programs such as Java or Python cannot connect to a playground; it runs only inside the page.
The result looks wrong. How do I report a bug?
Email us with the details listed above. A small example file that shows the problem helps most, but please do not send anything confidential: a made-up file that behaves the same way is just as useful.
